History

“Those who have not learned lessons from the failures of history are doomed to repeat them.”

Recognizing that God is sovereign over the affairs of humanity it is the goal of the Department of History at United Christian Academy to provide students with a working knowledge of the most important people, places and events in the history of the world. Beginning with the ancient civilizations, students are able to grasp the ebb and flow of world events in order to make sense of the contemporary world in which they live.

While special emphasis is placed upon the roots and foundations of Western culture and civilization, students are also exposed to world events that have profoundly impacted the world of the near and far east as well.

In addition, each student at United Christian Academy is required to study the workings of our American Government with a view to taking their place as informed and productive citizens in the years to come.
