About the Event:
The Rootin' Tootin' Shootin' event has become a tradition for many area shooters as well as an invaluable fundraiser to United Christian Academy. The money raised directly benefits students at UCA by blessing the school with a greater ability to offer financial aid to qualifying families. The UCA community as well as the community at large benefit greatly because of the availability of this school, and your participation in this event helps to make it all possible.
In addition to raising needed funds, out goals for the shoot are to ensure that our participants have a wonderful time, to share with attendees the fellowship experience that can be found at UCA, and to support the sport of shooting in the Northeast Kingdom. We appreciate all of the supporters of this event and hope that you will consider participating this year. It truly is a great time for a great cause.
$45 Entry fee; includes ammo, clay pigeons & lunch
How the Event works:
Each participant may choose to collect pledges from family and friends prior to the shoot. The collection of pledges is encouraged but not required. Shooters who turn in donation pledges of $100 or more will be refunded from the entry fee. These participants will also be entered in a drawing to win a prize, 1 entry for every $100 pledged. (Pledges may be a fixed pledge amount or in a per clay pigeon hit format.)
On the day of the shoot participants have the opportunity to shoot 25 clays and score according to how many they hit.
Shooters who hit 20 or more clays are entered in a drawing to win a prize.
22 Shoot – Standard Target:
Shooters will shoot at a standard target using a furnished 22 rifle with 5 shots.
There will be two age categories, 13+ and 12 & Under.
Winner of each category will win a $25 Gift Certificate to Wright’s Sporting Goods.
Tickets are available at the launching station for $10. Additional attempts can be purchased for $10 each.
If both clays are hit, shooter will be entered in a drawing to win a prize.

All registered shooters will also be part of the judging panel for the Chili Cook-Off.
The ticket provided at registration will entitle participants to a bowl of chili, a hot dog and a drink.
Spectators are able to purchase lunch at $5 per ticket.
