It is my desire to be the facilitator that allows everyone to do their jobs well! Coordinating meetings with teachers, students, parents, helping the daily tasks involved in school life to be carried out as smoothly as possible, and encouraging all to pursue the possibilities that will bring about growth both on the individual level and as an organization are key tasks that I am engaged in as well as teaching Language Arts and Study Skills to the Middle School students and some core classes for sixth grade students!

As the lower school music educator I teach K-6 music classes. The course purpose is to educate students in the foundations of music learning. Goals I have are to expose the students to music, engage them with musical structure and elements, and also equip and encourage them in their ability to utilize both the science and art of music. Ultimately, my desire for the students is that they would enjoy music and use it as a blessing in life.

As the Treasurer I am the “money” contact person for all the families. I really enjoy getting to know all the UCA families and being able to assist with contract questions and concerns. This job also requires me to pay the bills, among a lot of other bookkeeping tasks, which are not nearly as much fun! As Online Proctor, I get to know the Upper School students taking on-line courses , most of which are foreign language classes. Monitoring student progress is my main responsibility, ensuring they stay on pace with assignments. But I will be an intermediary with their online teachers if needed.

Favorite Bible Verse: "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies." - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
I love seeing children get excited about their own health and personal wellness. Seeing children take responsibility and ownership over their own health to work towards better lifestyles now plants the seeds for a healthier, happier future.
